NOVEL COMICS

Novel Comics Characters BY LENWOOD S. SHARPE

Welcome to
Novel Comics
, Thrill Land's hybrid of pulp, comics and fiction presented here in a plain brown wrapper. This project is largely experimental and grounded with a few simple thoughts:

I.) If understanding the plot becomes homework then it's no longer entertainment.
II.) Busier does not equate to better by any stretch of the imagination.
III.) If nobody's asking for the backstory on a screen door then don't offer it.
IV.) Work within your limitations and never take the work too seriously.
V.) If you don't have any fun writing it then nobody will have any fun reading it.
VI.) If you set out trying to write a masterpiece then you'll probably never finish.
VII.) In-story rules make for more interesting writing. They should be set not arbitrary.
VIII.) Stop hitting yourself. Stop hitting yourself. Stop hitting yourself.
IX.) Your own voice and ideas are your sword.
21.) Subvert expectations once in awhile but never too often.
XI.) Return to expectations after they are subverted, so you can do it again.
XII.) Whenever in doubt just use Dracula, seriously.
